In my opinion I wouldn't say SBM production is bad, it's true that I was surprised with the drums sound, but I listened to it with good headphones, and I also listened to it in a studio and I think it's really powerful, it gives a unique character to the song.

Well, I didn't like the SBM drums live. I was truly disappointed and I heard it two times: Lisbon and Porto.
But I think that's because I FUCKING LOVE SBM DRUMS!! It's so much powerful in the recorded version. Mainly the beginning of the drums.
However, I loved the way Deryck sings SBM live. It is powerful and beautiful at the same time, I can guarantee to you!!

Actually, I'm quite surprised by this. To me it's all the opposite. I think the guitar has more power than on previous albums. And vocals don't seem overproduced, in fact I think they are underproduced, needing a little more touch.
But we have to remember that the intention was to create a not-so-produced sound, like Deryck said, "just a band playing". And that we can hear in the drums. They are not weak, but they are made to sound like just a playing in a house.

And guys, everyone is entitled to his/her own opinion, even if it's negative.
But only as long as it's well explained, not like "SBM sucks and is full of shit" kind of argument.
So don't switch your hate mode on if someone disagrees.

And I agree with Tomi, Deryck said he didn't want this album to be overproduced, and we can hear it in SBM. His voice has improved undeniably, and as a consequence there's less work to do on it. A song sounding that great with so little work on it is amazing to me, not a lot of people can achieve this result.

To be honest, I think SBM is one of the best Sum 41 songs ever.
