I think in one of the old updates Deryck said they'd narrowed it down to 14 songs, so i'm guessing the album will definitely have 14 or more songs on it

I want to fly, Can you take me far away, Give me a star to reach for, Tell me what it takes, And I’ll go so high, I’ll go so high, My feet won’t touch the ground, its my wings, That pull the strings, I bought these dreams, That all fall down

I have a strong feeling that "Reason to Believe" could be this song

Chuck didn't have one, and this album is closer to Chuck than any other album. And if Skumfuk was the worst song on the album, I'm not expecting any joke songs either.

Yeah. Can't remember if he used the word "worst", but something along those lines.

Matt Whibley:

"That song is deep cut. Not a single. Was close to not making the album."
That's all they said about skumfuk..

well, you can't trust that at all. they're all obviously going to say that so you have higher hopes for the rest. there's no way they would release one song and be like 'yeah that's one of the best songs on the album'.

yeah the album a band is currently in making of is always the best one they've ever done ...so it was with UH...
and doesn't matter which band you are chasing while recording an album, you will always read or hear ''this one is something awesome, definitely the best thing we've ever done''

btw: but in this case,I'd say it's very believable ! cause the song is pretty short and I think that what Matt meant was that Skumfuk is something like Welcome to Hell or King of Contradiction
This is Mark Allen Hoppus. He likes long walks on the beach. This, this is travis barker. He likes to be read poetry just before sunset. And me, I like to stick small pieces of furniture up my butt.

I spy on my dad while he is taking a shower just like everyone else
Mark: Sometimes when I talk in 3rd person i end up calling tom mark
Tom:Yea than he starts touching me and i think thats masturbation
Some people think were idiots or perverts dont argue were both.
"i think we're gonna be one of those bands thats around forever and even makes records, even if noones buying them and using them for toilet paper...but we'll still make them because we'll be the best fuckin toilet paper anyones ever used...." - Tom Delonge

I'm hoping the songs are of decent length (3+ minutes) without needless endings (last 20 seconds of The Jester) or drawn out outros. Every time I listen to Underclass Hero, the album seems to end much quicker than the others despite it being the longest album in their catalogue.
THIS.

thats the only thing that annoys me about UH is all the long endings of some songs i.e. The Jester and i agree with you Jeremy about the fact that Underclass Hero seems like its over too soon

As awsome as i think Skumfuk is its just too damn short and my biggest fear was that the album was going to be full of shortish songs but SBM kinda undid my doubts  and the 12 minute song will be great I love albums that are lengthy as long as they are not all or mostly instrumentalish with long intro/outros

Serious, I hate that bands bring out 'albums' with 10 songs! Ten is gay. Twelve is acceptable. But 14-15? That's great, as long as it doesn't has 4 interludes.
Most of my favourite records have 12 tracks so i'm fine with that, the last Green Day record is way to long in my opinion, it could be a lot shorter and still be great, same goes with UH, so 40-50 minutes is fine for me.

Well, I know people dislike UH (or at least some of you may), but imo it's still their best record to date, in a certain point of view.

I don't know whether I prefer UH or Chuck as my fave sum album. I think SBM will take the top place, though.

Only 2 months more, guys!

I'm really excited for SBM, but in a different way than I was for DTLI, Chuck or UH.

I was just so nervous and excited like a fan boy, just for some new material. For example: when I first heard Count Your Last Blessings I was like 'Oh my god! This is awesome', just because it was new. I didn't like the song that much after all.

So with this album, I'm just excited for good, and sophisticated music, not only for 'new' ones.

In the past, they could've released anything, any any anything, I would've liked it anyway.

I think it's different this time.
