We're more concerned with TNS being able to distribute it. We don't want to break any trust with the band, posting songs without their permission. We still want to be friends!

why won't you? if they send it to the radios, i think that's because they want the fans to hear it and to be able to hear it when they want! Matt send a message to DW (a friend of mine) and told him to "spread the word" about the new song coming and to put it everywhere he could once he got the song... but as you've understood, he didn't got it...
