what on earth is she singing about in that song

"you're on your knees begging please stay with me" poor Deryck!
Even though I hate to discuss this topic in this thread, I thought it was quite obvious?
The part where they said "Avril left for a cruise with her friends for 2 weeks without Deryck, acting anything but married". I'm taking it as cheating.

I think they are much better when they take influences from bands Iron Maiden and Mettalica, not Blink-182 and Green Day (although Sum 41 is the best of the two)
Blink 182 and Green Day are awesome bands ...although I prefer Blink 182 but I like GD too ...you do not judge quality of the music, you say that the type that you like is the best ...you like IM and Metallica more than B182 or GD and then sure that you like Chuck or DTLI more ...it is understandable though...nobody can beat Metallica in guitar songs or so,I agree ...songs like One,NEM or The Unforgiven are unbelievable ...but Blink 182 or GD are awesome too ...
Haha i guess your right. I like both Genre's but i love metal more :devious: I mean in terms of pop Punk Underclass Hero was the best record i've heard in a while and i enjoyed it but i liked there more hard-edged metal stuff from Chuck and DTLI? Haha which is why i think im going to love Screaming Bloody Murder

it is all shit ...in our newspapers I have read that Deryck was partying as hell and cheating on Avril in New York while he was on tour with Avril ...the truth is never there...
This is Mark Allen Hoppus. He likes long walks on the beach. This, this is travis barker. He likes to be read poetry just before sunset. And me, I like to stick small pieces of furniture up my butt.

I spy on my dad while he is taking a shower just like everyone else
Mark: Sometimes when I talk in 3rd person i end up calling tom mark
Tom:Yea than he starts touching me and i think thats masturbation
Some people think were idiots or perverts dont argue were both.

I want to hear more from those 20 seconds of the 12 minute song! I bet the band won't mind us hearing an instrumental soundcheck version of it, cuz they try to release the song for months now.. it's all the label's fault, I don't think the band will care!

Well, they haven't even revealed the name of this song, so I highly doubt they would appreciate the leakage of the instrumental version.

As if we didn't already know that, Sum 41. Haha. Imagine if it gets released on 11/11/11. But I read Deryck said March, so I'm hoping around there. The sooner, I'm good with. SBM is about all I'm excited for this year to be honest.

Even though all the delays and promised songs not being released it would be pretty fucking epic if they just blown the minds of everybody while releasing all the shit all at once videos, songs, album and artwork. Wouldn't doubt it to become a fucking RAD EXPLOSIONZ

You've got to have a LOT of patience though ;)
Besides, I like how things are padded out before and after the album. Before, I have things like leaks, tracklist, artwork etc to look forward to, then it comes out, then i have the singles/videos to look forward to.

it kinda pisses me off when everyone's like, "i love the sums no matter what. they're the best band ever, etc." i mean come on, you gotta be a bit objective. underclass hero sucked dick and everyone knows it. there were a handful of good (not great) songs, and even if it wasn't trying to be a heavy record, it still failed as a pop-punk record cuz it was just sooooo repetitive and generic. sum 41 are definitely one of my top 5-10 bands, but i'm at least able to admit that i dislike some of their work. like the end of pull the curtain? am i the only one that noticed that that outro was a COMPLETE ripoff of we're all to blame's chorus/outro? and the title track's chorus was directly stolen from subject to change (and yes, i realize that song's title indicated that it could be re-worked at some point, but that's just being lazy recycling ideas from yourself). plus the chord pattern used in cafimt is so cliche it's hilarious. and finally, so long goodbye may have had decent lyrics, but let's get real. it is a direct ripoff of green day's good riddance. like literally, the chords are the exact same - g, cadd9, d, plus it has and incredibly similar string progression. seriously, i know that was pretty rantish, but uh is an average album at best and is probably the sums' worst, and i'm sick of everyone praising it just cuz it's the sums. i guarantee if some band this site doesn't like put out that same album (albeit w/ different vox), it would get nothing but shit-talked. so i'm looking forward to sbm because it's supposed to be HEAVY and daring again and none of this wimpy, predictable bullshit.

I disagree. Why should I have been objective? Everyone has a different music taste. I love every Sum 41 album and it's not because I am such a big fan, but it's because I really like all albums. Each other in a different way. It's great how every album is totally different. I am glad that songs like The Jester, March of The Dogs, Walking Disaster, Speak of The Devil and King of Contradition can exist.

btw. say whatever you want - but Pull the Curtain is one of the best songs on UH..
