What did you find bad about those albums? SOTY and SF usually have the same vibe in each album, what made you not like these? I found them to be pretty good!
Lostprophets:
Thefakesoundofprogress is a nu metal masterpiece with some post-hardcore elements. The second album is far more radio friendly, but it's still great. Their third one was pretty average, but still enjoyable. The Betrayed is just like every other pop rock record, some good choruses, boring music, stupid lyrics, (+their gay image).

Story of the Year:
Yeah, all of their albums are almost the same, but I still like the first two albums more than the last two. The Constant bores me to hell.

Senses Fail:
Just boring. Better than their last album though, but still far from Let It Enfold You. (If you like SF, you should definitely check out Boys Night Out's Make Yourself Sick, all SF albums suck compared to this.)

I haven't listened to the new album, but I totally agree with you about the first 3 albums. Liberation Transmission had it's moments, but overall doesn't stack upto the first 2 albums imo. since then, I've never really cared about Lostprophets.

Hmm let me think!

Only one that comes to mind right now is THE disappointment of 2010!

A Day to Remember - What Separates Me from You: Well, I just love this album, cuz I really really like ADTR! But in terms of an ADTR album, it's disappointing and sucks! haha, it's weird, I mean, on one hand, there's a lot of songs I enjoy in here, but comparing it to past album, they're not even close to songs from Homesick or FTWHH, plus it's really really short (around 31 minutes, like some EP) and just kinda lacks the energy and originally of the past albums. It could be understandable though, as the album was made in a rush, while the band was touring nonstop and they were basically forced by Victory Records to put another album out, a year after their latest one.
i agree with that it was a disapointment, but i still listen to it all the time, and i think all the songs are great, i was just expecting something MORE

Yeah, that's what I was saying. It was a great pop punk album and all... (can't really say a punk/hardcore/metalcore hybrid like their previous) but it was definitely not as good as previous stuff.

Anyway
Best albums of 2010:
Four Year Strong - Enemy of the World
Yashin - Put Your Hands Where I Can See Them
Missing In Action - The Cost of Sacrifice
This Means You - The Act
The Damned Things - Ironiclast
We Are the Ocean - Cutting Our Teeth
Chunk! No Captain Chunk! - Something for Nothing
Bring Me the Horizon - There Is a Hell Believe Me I've Seen It, There Is a Heaven Let's Keep It a Secret
Me vs Hero - Days That Shape Our Lives
Woe, Is Me - Number[s]
Pierce the Veil - Selfish Machines
Slash - Slash
The Fading - In Sin We'll Find Salvation
Lostprophets - The Betrayed (I thought it was better than Liberation Transmission)

Disappointing albums of 2010:
Linkin Park - A Thousand Suns
Escape the Fate - Escape the Fate
Good Charlotte - Cardiology (though it wasn't bad.. just gets old fast, songs are kinda bland though there are some standouts)
Bullet for My Valentine - Fever (not bad but boring... gets old after like 3 listens)
Weezer - Hurley
Avenged Sevenfold - Nightmare (the title track is very good, the rest of the album is meh)
The Operation MD - Birds + Bee Stings (has some good tracks, though most are just bland and its too short too)
Underoath - Ø (Disambiguation)
7% Mind Usage - Fertilize the Sun

I probably forgot some, need to think about more.

Good albums of 2010:
The Operation M.D. - Birds + Bee Stings (I've been drinking and Flashing Lights are just EPIC songs for me..)
General Fiasco - Buildings
Story of The Year - The Constant
Quietdrive - Quietdrive (haven't listened to whole thing, but so far pretty good)
My Chemical Romance - Danger Days: The True.....(and so on) - didn't like it after first few listenings but now I like it A LOT
British Beef - the band I've been watching for long time released all their songs ever made (cause they split up before releasing an album :/) and it is pretty good as I expected.. great pop punk
and the band I found thanks to Eastpak tour - Veara and their so far only album released in 2010 - there are a few songs which I like a lot - My B-Side life and We Have a Body Count are great.

Dissapointings:
Linkin Park - A Thousand Suns ... I was really looking forward for this album.. and everyone says it's not bad, they just changed.. yea I think it is bad because they changed.. so much. I like one or two songs, but it sux bigtime..
Gorillaz - Plastic Beach - too much dance/electro things in this one.. I like real instruments I don't want to listen to some "computer made" crap.

God.. I always tell myself I am gonna type a post made of 30 words and end up by this.. sorry that you have to read it :glad:

Good for me

The Gaslight Anthem - American Slang
These guys are great !
Jimmy Eat World - Invented
Thought album has some really good songs, esp if like pop-punk & laid back tracks
Story Of The Year - The Constant
some good tunes on there from Story
Kids In Glass Houses - Dirt
one of first album's of 2010 couldn't stop listening to, love this band, this band is good !
Lostprophets - The Betrayed
I thought it was one their best efforts, for me it was like their old style mixed with combination of something new at same time, thought was very good considering had hard time making it, beats Liberation Transmission in a shot !
Good Charlotte - Cardiology
I thought the album wasn't that bad, few good tunes and stand out tracks and I really like "Like It's Her Birthday" now, it's catchy and typical pop-punk GC style song I would say, reminds me of "Girls & Boys" type thing.
Goo Goo Dolls - Something For The Rest Of Us
Really good band, nice laid back rock music with good riffs
Feeder - Renegades
Some really good songs, Feeder are back on form !
---- Biffy Clyro - Only Revolutions
I know it was released 2009 but this band has rocked my world this year after seeing them live too, awesome band !
YouMeAt Six - Hold Me Down
I Like this band, a good follow up to their debut !
Young Guns - All our Kings Are Dead
although am not mad metal lover, these guys are good !
American Hi-Fi - Fight The Frequency
Lovin' this new record, the guys are back on top form !
Alkaline Trio- - This Addiction
Few good tracks from the Trio yet again
Attack! Attack! - The Latest Fashion
Some very good punchy tracks, I think these guys are really good !
Brandon Flowers - Flamingo
Good call, Good album, good tracks from a talented guy, but still like Killers more !

Disappointments for me

Angels & Airwaves - LOVE
I felt lot the album was little Meh but I still liked a few songs which I thought were really good but then it just got bit Meh as said.
Good Charlotte - Cardiology
although I still like it, I felt like there was something missing at same time, so I like but also fell wee bit Meh with it too, but I like guys all same.

That's awesome! How do you like Feast or Famine? The CD I sent you of theirs is alright, but they released a new one this year (only 7ish songs) but it's a lot better, I think. Listen to "Another Pandemic" and "Cowboy Trail". Those are my favorites!
