Man, what a lucky bastard. I really hope it does sound epic and huge. Underclass Hero didn't really feel that big to me.

Oh snap! Metal-heads loved it?! For some reason, to me, hardcore metal fans can be the most ignorant and least accepting fans. Like when Brown Brigade's album got a lot of flak just because Dave was from Sum 41. I guess every genre of music has those kinds of people.

Anyway, shit! The metal has returned in Sum 41!

I'm thinking we'll get, at the very least, the release date before the new year. We already know the album name and what the single will be. A tracklist could leak, but I don't think one for Underclass Hero was ever "officially" released, you know, like how bands post it on their blog? It kind of just showed up on Wikipedia or Amazon I think.

I'll be happy with an official release date with *knock on wood* no push backs.

I don't think we'll get a push back once the official date is released. Maybe 1 week, in a 'worst' case scenario.

I think UH was pushed back 1 or 2 weeks, but anyway, SBM has been ready to release for some time now (except the mastering, but that usually doesn't take a lot of time), so my guess is that IR can pick out a date by now and stick to it.

All this is good info, it means stuff are moving. I think the release date will be announced very late this month or very early January, maybe like before the single.. but if they already did this meeting/unofficial listening party, I guess stuff are moving.

Not exactly, they were touring Underclass Hero three years ago!

It is close to two years since they announced the 'Spring EP' though

They announced the EP in very late 2008-early 2009. Or I think around November 2008 they said they returned to the studio to start writing new songs and some time after that, was the AbsolutePunk chat with Deryck when he said they decided to make an EP.

07:11 PM on 11/26/08 : i'm actually in the middle of writing a new EP that we want to put out early next year. it's a lot heavier but still different than anything we've ever done. it's pretty cool.
