I had forgotten all about this, now the waiting is going to be that little bit more difficult! :silly:

I just recalled that The Offspring are also in the studio with no single yet working on a new album. I wonder, which one of the bands will be first to put out a single.. Offspring, Blink or Sum 41? Fucking stoked for all the releases and probably will be most disappointed with the Blink one. The Sum 41 new record has got a real hype revolving around it because of all the talks of band members how cool, dark and eclectic it is going to sound so, let us give them time and it will be a fucking thrill ride.

Jesus Christ Supermarket wrote:UH was just just a condensed version of American Idiot, MCR, and Blink's Smiley (2003) album IMO. I really didn't think any of it sounded like The Sums, hence my dissapointment with it. (CYLB, KOC, and MOD might be exceptions)

I really don't care if they utilize their "experience" from UH for 'Screaming Bloody Murder', but I really hope it's more original and puts them back on the course where DTLI and Chuck were headed. I view UH as a detour on an unpleasant dirt road.
you are correct as fuck.

did you even listen to rise and fall rage and grace? it's BY FAR the offspring's worst album (and co1 was pretty bad). i'm an enormous offspring fan and they were THE band that got me into music, but i'm really not holding my breath for their new stuff (especially considering that bob rock's going to ruin/produce/butcher this new album too).

They played a new song live, and it was in a studio video, and I must say that it sounds like absolute shit. The Offspring makes me sick now, so much good music going straight down the drain, they really need to progress.

Here's that song by the way, sounds a lot like Times Like These by the Foo Fighters, what the hell is this shit..

you can't deny that derycks voice sounds like gerards from mcr in skumfuck though. that's a fact, not a personal opinion. other than that their styles aren't' that similar

edit: also someone said they were trying hard to be queen (mcr). have you actually listened to either of those bands music or did you just read that in youtube comments?
yes I have and I stand by my post....

normally i would say it's your personal opinion so i can't argue with it but you're wrong. they're nothing like queen. just because they have a few twin guitar similar sounding solos doesn't mean they're trying to be queen. they're NOTHING alike. at all.

Back to the Sums and MCR
Just watch it
I don't want to say that they're really ripped off these songs, but they sound pretty similar.
However, I don't bother about it. If sums have real stolen all of their songs i'd say fuck that and enjoy, it's much better than the original.
Sorry, I'm drunken

I mean thats all it is, an opinion, your opinion was that Sum41 sounded like MCR, my opinion is that MCR sounds like Queen

the moral of this story is everyone ripped off Elvis Presley and we really need some new Sum41 music on this thread

I totally agree with you! But back to Sum 41, I think we're going to get some news by Christmas. Maybe the 12 min song? Who knows, all I know is that SBM is on it's way baby, just hang in there.

Why do you think that? We have not news after the Eastpak Tour finish, I doubt that we have something for Christmas

I doubt we'll see a single until at least late January.
