Forced to grow up.
In the last times, Sum 41 have received more attention by gossip magazines -marriage and posterior divorce of Deryck Whibley from Avril Lavigne had a lot to do with it- than by musical magazines. But not even because of that, or a album silence of tree years, seems to have taken away a bit of popularity. 4000 fans of pop/punk can't be wrong. Or can they?
it's crap trust me, same with the show review

God dammit, just release the damn single already! haha, I hope January will be the month we'll see the single. And they better play new stuff on the February tour, cuz all this touring, as much as its nice, is getting kinda pointless at this point. I mean, they already confirmed dates for Italy and France, that'll be like the third time they visit these countries in less than a year, and they're playing the same set over and over again. I mean, yeah, they added Skumfuk on the Eastpak tour but that's mostly it. Even No Reason which we thought was back, was only played like 2 or 3 times in the first few dates and that's it, and No Brains was played randomly across the tour, but from what I've seen also no more than 3-4 times during the whole tour, so except those it was the same setlist as the European In Your Pants tour back in April, and the rescheduled dates from September (Paint It Black, Master of Puppets, etc.) and I bet they plan the same thing for the 2011 European tour, unless they gonna finally add a previously unheard song to the set!

actually, new prediction. if 3/15 doesn't work out, i'm guessing the announcement will come when this thread reaches '4100' at the end (it's at 3460 now, so could be a couple more months before anything is confirmed).

let's bring this thread back to life!

Does anyone think these 2 riffs sound a bit similar?

I think they would sound really similar if he didn't palm mute those notes in the first video

I'm not sure about those two riffs being the same, though the style is similar-sounding. Also, I don't remember watching Deryck play that riff before, but now that I've heard it, I'm pretty confident this is the bass line to go with it.

I'm loving the drums that went with that bass in that Day 5 video. Fast and heavy sounding.

When the video that compiled all the possible music pieces that would appear in Screaming Bloody Murder was made, there were so many pieces from the studio updates that I forgot about. After watching it I was like, "Holy shit, this album sounds like it's going to be awesome!" Especially the piano parts.

Someone should just Myspace message Cone and give us a tracklist or something for us to feast on.

Yeah, I noticed that as well. Must be like 50 pages a go already. Damn... This album's taking long.

I wasn't saying that they're the same but they definitely sound similar.
Btw.. Lars already linked that bassline to that riff a while ago.

EDIT: I see that Lars already told you

You should watch all of the studio updates over again..
I watch them all every now and then, the video compilation doesn't have all parts that are featured in the updates in it.. it misses a few really good parts

Where did you hear that SBM was actually written for Muertos Vivos? that's some interesting info.
I did an email interview with tom, I thought I posted it here. He said that Deryck asked him if he had songs for the Ep and he took this one.
Subject To Change, anyone?

Think I'm going to re-visit all of them this weekend. Totally forgot about that vocal snippet too

What do you people think, could that be the REAL release date? I personally think it very well might be.
I know there has been a lot of wrong dates, but at least the one in august was meant to be real....
I don't know, the month of February is a possibility, though that date falls on a Wednesday and most albums are released on a Tuesday. Also, it's a lot more expensive than the rest of the other albums.
you're all wrong, just calling it again, as i did months ago, march 15 will be the release date.
I'm agreeing with dbauer92's estimation. It will be around there.

I think there's actually another part of a new song in the studio updates, though it's barely audible because of a loud piano on top of it. It's about 9:10 on the video compilation..
It might be an old song aswell, but atleast I don't recognize it..
