So I just wondered if it's possible to play with a bass (or in my case a guitar with an -octaver) through a guitar combo-amp? Someone once told me it's not recommend 'cause the low frequency could damage the membrane of my 8" speaker. I would rather try it but then I reminded myself that I listen to music through the PA of my combo, which also consists of low frequencies as well.
Any ideas?

It’s like sounding really nice, having a good feel, that’s all about the guitar.
That’s what I care about. I’d rather be a better strummer than fuckin' jizz all over the fuckin' fretboard...

If you're just practising on low volume it's usually fine.
Wouldn't recommend otherwise tho

Yes, low volume. Or you'll destroy your amp.

So is playing in a church with 1~2 acoustic guitars and a few wind instruments yet to loud? As I said a 15W 8" combo.

Re: Bass through a guitar amp?
You can't blow your amp, just the speakers. Or use an EQ and lower the lows... And listen carefully to your amp, if it sounds strange, lower the vol.
Got a no-string guitar, got a SUNN Beta head, I'm a rock and roll star,
