deryks melodies
first off i love the new album. the music on it is great, and the lyrics are great. i think deryk could be so much better of a song writer if he would write better melodies. like i said, the lyrics he writes are sweet, but it seems like he repeats his melodies way to much throughout the album. i think that if he would use a few different/better ones, the album would be even more amazing. anyone agree?

the piano in the end of WITH ME is the same in the following song. but i guess it is suppost to be...becuz the piano in the end is a kinda the intro to the following song...
hmm...maybe he does use the same melodies, but i dont really care about it. it sounds great and i really love the album the way it is.

know what i think about this album? everything is based around a B chord, like almost every song is in the key of B and they are always playing second fret on A string (a B note) or 14th on A (also a B) if you listen, you'll see

^Haha.
Anyway, repetition has nothing to do with the quality of the melody. The melody that gets repeated, what, 3 or 4 times in the whole album, is quite good.
The songs sound awesome, that's all that matters to me.

i was just playin the album on guitar and nearly every song was based around b on 2nd string 2nd fret. but its not just this album he does it in. alot of their other songs are the same.dm_rick wrote:know what i think about this album? everything is based around a B chord, like almost every song is in the key of B and they are always playing second fret on A string (a B note) or 14th on A (also a B) if you listen, you'll see
