i've got a peavy max 112 bass amp, it was $250, $300 after taxes, but you can find it for cheaper now. it's a pretty solid amp with volume, modern/vintage switch, bass/mid/treble equalizers, send and return for effects pedals and a headphone jack, y'know the usual. it sounds very good, i'd recommend it. here's a web page review on it.

Fender Rumbles are decent. i play out of Fender Rumble 100......its powerful....dont get anything lower then 60 watts.. the drums will just drown them out
