someone rip this shit!! professionally done!! ITS HERE
Children of the beast embrace,
To scorn and the human race,
Consume the light that hugs the earth,
And aid the womb in giving birth,
To a group that will appear,
And guide you through this final year,
The dark armies then will come,
When the sum is 41

I'll be uploading it shortly. Deryck's voice is really different sounding here.

That's the best live recording I have ever heard (The quality of the recording, not the song; I don't really care for Metallica).

ok wow, this is so so so good. like really, it's amazing. coming from a huge metallica fan, I love the way deryck sings these, like I want him to record every metallica song now lol. just one thing........only 6 songs, and a verse and chours of each.......that's not enough!!!!! it sounds too good to be that short. why does new found glroy get to play 15 full green day songs? these verse chours versions of the metallica songs are shorter then those anyway, and they only play 6. it's so so good, but so sad. can't wait to see the rest though.

i agree with you! metallica is my favourite band and these covers sound great. i'm also sad this had to be a medley - i wish they did a full hour set and played the whole songs - but to answer your question about nfg playing 15 green day songs - that's kinda obvious. most green day songs are between 2-3 mins long, whereas metallica songs are 8 mins long. i hope they upload the whole set! when deryck says there will be more, he might mean other media, not necessarily this. they might be saving this for a dvd. but i hope it is the rest of the set!

yes but that's not the case here, they only did one verse and chours of each song here, which end up being shorter then the greenday ones that way, and only 6 of them.

I think they had the same amount of time actually. Ar first when i heard the guitar coming in in this video i thought it was playback cause it sounds so good.

The beginning of the video probably is playback because the band doesn't even walk on stage until the distortion picks up.

it's so sad though, the motorbreath cover is only about 50 seconds long. it's waayyy too good to be that short, it's great!

The acoustic intro from Battery is the original Metallica recording, I'm pretty sure about that. I loved the motorbreath cover, I really want to hear the entire song covered!

Wow, the sound is amazing!!
If thats part 1, I hope the next parts coming soon. And someone should totally rip it as an audio, would be a nice addition to the collection of Sum 41 covers, b-sides and rarities I have (I bet we all have such a collection hahaha).

Motorbreath sounded amazing. Blackenend is not madefor Deryck, but sounded good anyway.

Yeah, his voice sounds totally different there, but I think he pulled it off. I was hard to hear in the non-professional videos on youtube, but listen to Enter Sandman, his vocals are so different and great. He definitely couldn't sing that good during their 2003 MTV Icon performance where he just sang Metallica stuff with his normal Sum 41 voice, and now he does a different voice here.
