Re: Deryck's Signature Tele
Yeah, the Deryck Signature Tele does not have a good range of tones because of its lone humbucker. So you're better off getting something else like a Standard Tele.

I want it so badly. But then I have to import it from USA. They don't sell it here in Sweden. Strange if you ask me.
Re: Deryck's Signature Tele
i have it. its my second guitar and i gotta say its pretty decent if you know what to do with it. im planning on changing the humbucker to either an SH-4 or SH-6. but other than that, its pretty decent
Re: Deryck's Signature Tele
im selling mine. i hardly ever use it.
i replaced the pickup with the legit JB pickup and its in pretty much new condition, no dents or anything. i just need to clean it up.
price: $250 - $300 (i did have to buy the $73 pickup and pay $45 to get it put in)
if anyone is interested contact me

Re: Deryck's Signature Tele
If you are starting to play, that is a nice guitar to start (if s not too expensive) , but if you ve been playing for a while and looking for a good guitar, budgie wrote:ok, so i was considering buying deryck's telecaster when i got some money...
ive heard some mixed reviews about it, the main cause for arguement being that it's a squier, which arent supposed to be very good...
does anyone have one?
what do you think of it?
where did you buy it and for how much?
I'd suggest you to buy a telecaster if you like that kind of guitar ;-)
Deryck's signature is actually- i m afraid to say- some commercial stuff or fan memorabilia, so if you are an hardcore sum fan, and you wanna have it, buy it,but if you are really looking for a great guitar, get a tele standard ;-) the output is way more powerful, the tuning is a lot more stable :-)
If you are looking to sound like Sum on the last record, the tele is alrite, but if you wanna try to have the AKNF or DTLI sound, try some humbuckin guitar, such as a les paul ;-)

On my Deryck Tele, the "X' on the pickguard is crooked when you look at it as the guitar is standing straight up and down. Is anyone else's?
