I mean, there are really heavy metal-like stuff like Mr. Amsterdam, Still Waiting and Thanks for Nothing. There are more in your face punk rock stuff like Hell Song, No Brains, Over My Head and Billy Spleen and also more of the light pop punk they did in AKNF and HHOP like My Direction and All Messed Up.
So its really more diverse than Chuck in my opinion.
That. It's the most diverse album imo. And my personal favourite since 2002 :)

I'd have to say DTLI as far as the bands sound overall, cause it's a mix of the pop and metal. HHOP second though. the other albums are all the way one way or the other.

how is it pointless? it's a fourm to talk about things of the band. their shift in styles is something good to talk about.

i think the sound of chuck defined the sums from every other band whereas aknf was catchy, it was still generic.

Luke, it wasn't a "best album thread" like everyone turned it into themselves.

In fact, the guy asked a legit question of what album we think that represents Sum 41 the most, and that is the case that we like Chuck and DTLI so much... well, I guess because they are so diverse and all, and the best to show the band's sound and all. As much as AKNF is great, its not diverse at all, it has the same sound for around 85% of it except for P4P which is totally different cuz its this 80s metal influenced song, and maybe Heart Attack which is IMO the only standout in the album cuz its tries to go back and forth from being this slow song to this fast song, but anyway, the style is all about that catchy pop punk Sum 41 does best, while DTLI is punk and metal, and Chuck isn't as good or diverse IMO cuz its... well, just metal and alternative rock i guess, not punk.

DTLI? was their transition album from pop punk to metal and it showed both styles.

I would say Infected just because their metal influence is a lot more evident, while they still stay true to their poppy hooks and edginess and aggression.

I don't know for sure, but I could definitely picture the hotdog throwing, cocaine sniffing, Hilton pounding Deryck being the singer behind the Infected era songs.

Not only does their music style change, but their appearance does too and in a way reflects the music they played at the time.

You didn't click it? It's not porn or anything, just an interview. But yeah, he talks about all the sex he's had and mentions drugs he was on during it.

Well I'm happy I got a almost everyone's opinion, and I'd say pretty much the album which a lot of you choose was Does This Look Infected? I just was interested to know which album represented Sum 41 in the fullest.

I think HHOP represents Dave the most, cause it has some really good metal songs, and you can tell he's a metal kinda guy
I think UH represents Deryck the most, cause he put his heart and soul into that album
Im not sure about cone and steve
but as a band I gotta say DTLI represents them.
