Getting a new bass soon.

Post by Omega Myre »

So, I'm getting a new bass soon, and I'm stuck as to what kind I should get. I play mostly punk/rock but I'm also currently in a metal band, so I need a bass that can play. I also play for a jazz group, so I'm looking for a good bass that can play just about every genre well. I'm looking at a new Fender P bass, 'cuz I've never had a problem with those, but I just want to see if you guys have any other suggestions.

I'm not really familiar with the Wasburn basses. What kind of sound do they have? They look like they might be kind of heavy and awkward to play, are they? Anything else I should know about them?

I used to have a Musicman, was pretty good, but it didn't sound great for jazz.
