Because I couldn't get the CD until later today, I downloaded it and the only bonus track I don't have is Teenage Rebellion, can someone send me a DL link?

Yeah, I'm really liking this album. A couple songs may need to grow on me like Here Comes My Man and Biloxi Parish. I just can't seem to bring myself to enjoy the latter; kind of reminds me of American Slang. The rest of the songs I can get into easily. "45" is easily my favorite followed by Handwritten. Nation Anthem reminds me of Here's Looking At You, Kid and Mae had a +44 feeling riff in it, which I enjoyed. Brought back memories of Summer 2009, haha.

One of the song reminded me of an early Avril Lavinge song. Can't remember the names though.

Awesome. I remember hearing that song somewhere before... I'm pretty sure it was in a videogame trailer haha, like Infamous 2 or something.

they released the studio version of this on an "itunes session" EP a while ago. here's the tracklist:

Baba O'Riley (the Who cover)
Refugee (tom petty cover)
Our Fathers Sons (Gaslight original)
State of Love and Trust (pearl jam cover)
Boxer (alternate version)
"Interview"
House of the Rising Sun
The Navesink Bank (new version)

it's all good. their Who cover is especially awesome.

This record has already been played more times than American Slang, I love it. However it could do without Biloxi Parish.

I like it as well, but they've been playing it live for ages. its weird to not hear a crowd cheer after the first chord.

Because they've been playing Biloxi Parish for over a year, it doesn't seem like a new song to me. I still like it, not one of the stronger songs on the album though.

For me, this album has already shat all over American Slang. Going to have to listen for a few months before comapring it to the 59 Sound.

Gaslight Anthem - "Handwritten" and "45"

Post by Jeremy Kill »

Well, after listening to this album every day so far, I can say that my "least favorite" songs change as time goes by. I've grown to enjoy Biloxi Parish, especially the chorus. Too Much Blood kind of got boring for me after a while. I'm really digging Keepsake, Desire and Mar though, they seem to be my favorite songs aside from "45" and Handwritten.

Too Much Blood, Keepsake and Biloxi Parish is the worst songs on the record. Blue Dahlia is an awesome song that should have been on the record instead of one of them.

Blue Dahlia wasn't on the original album? I thought it was, but I could be wrong; I didn't look at the track listing on iTunes before ordering the album, haha.

Howl is a tune, can't wait to see that live. Here Comes My Man is also a favourite of mine. National Anthem is perfect. I think Keepsake or Too Much Blood are my least favourite songs off the album. That will probably change next week though.
