Easiest way to get a sound from guitar to computer

Post by gejmik »

What is the easiest (oh that wasn't good expression, I mean more CHEAPIEST) way of getting sound of my guitar into computer in decent quality? I'm sick of doing covers because it sounds awful when I just turn up volume on my shitty AMP. So I'm looking for some solution. I don't know much about it so I'd appreciate every help. Thanks guys.

get a USB interface. Protools Mbox's are the best, but are expensive. they do come with protools software, which is recording industry standard, however, again; expensive. you should look around for a guitar FX pedal/interface. i've got a Zoom bass pedal that doubles as an interface, it was $200 and currently used audacity. however, audacity is pretty fucking shitty. im gonna get protools 10, its 300 dollars AFTER a student discount, and thats just the program. it should be noted that protools 8 and 9 need an mbox to work, but PT10 does not.

MORON.

Interface. Or infact just set up a mic in front of your amp and connect it to the pc and you're good to go. But for quality and more settings interface. But a good mic will sound good.

I just use my BOSS ME-25 multi effects processor, it also works as an audio interface. Even got Sonar(recording software) with it..

ummm really no cheaper solution? I mean, I know it's not expensive a lot, but my amp cost me 40 dollars.. :D So I thought the next investiment would be similar so that I could buy new amp.

The link I gave:

For a 100 bucks you have a tool that is really descent and really easy to use! You can even plug mics in..
