HLMmusic (new song "Amber Stars")

Yeah I really like Avril's songs, I just don't like the person she's become. So that's definately a good thing your songs sound like hers !!

original song

There's been a time
I stumbled around a white lie
No harm, no foul
Till the truth starts pouring out

And now I see the chaos I've made
But it may be too little too late
I feel guilty about all that I've done
But then again, whats done is done
So let's skip the pleasantries
And I'll tell you whats wrong with me

My time is short
So I'll get straight to the point
It's my own fault
I didn't think I'd get caught

And now I see the chaos I've made
But it may be too little too late
I feel guilty about all that I've done
But then again, whats done is done
So let's skip the pleasantries
And I'll tell you whats wrong with me

There's been a time
I stumbled around a white lie
It's my own fault
I didn't think I'd get caught

Thanks Samuel! yeah I plan on trying this song out in Garage Band on my new Mac. I've been playing it with the electric and drums from my keyboard and it sounded cool

Re: HLMmusic ("Lost Cause Uncertainty")

Postby Heather on Sat Dec 24, 2011 10:06 pm

new one:

Forgive for all that I don't understand and see through my eyes but can't comprehend
I stumble around day after day, I can't get my footing when my feet are in the way

I hopeless in me, a lost cause to uncertainty

So I take one step then I take it back cause the coward in me can't face what I lack
And I'm scared to death, that I'm holding myself back
And I say things that I don't really mean, it just comes out when I'm not thinking
There's times I don't, believe in me, Its sad to see

Is all that I know, all that is real or hiding behind layers ready to peel
You don't know how much nothing can say, until it swallows up your fate

I hopeless in me, a lost cause to uncertainty

Every now and then, my cynical side won't let me in
And there's no signs telling me where to begin
My dreams aren't filled, they're plagued with lies
Not everything turns out no matter how hard you try

New one! This is inspired by my closest friend, who really is bipoloar

For the moment she's fine
But that'll change just give her time
And I have to admit
Now and then she's so hard to get along with
But I don't mind and I don't care
I've just learned how to be, be prepared

Bipolar Disorder
I am so over
Them saying
She's crazy
Just maybe they're the ones with the issues

Well I've been on the side of
Hey friend you're doing everything I don't like
And I can't lie
There's been times I've thought about saying goodbye
But I just can't and I just won't
Its a love hate I never wanna see broke

Bipolar Disorder
I am so over
Them saying
She's crazy
Just maybe they're the ones with the issues

A pre-lit fuse on the shortest temper
I don't know when you're gonna loose
All your composure
But its cool you're just...

Bipolar disorder, I am so over...

Extinguish bridges I should have burned
From all this I never seem to learn
Hollow words are earned

Painted targets on my back
Taking turns to throw their darts at
Guess I asked for that

Well I live a fool's existence
Just to feel complete resentment
Isn't that enough?

I walked the path of destruction
Every step further into the illusion
At their amusement

I felt the sting of a knife
Running down every nerve in my spine
You didn't think I'd mind

Well I live a fool's existence
Just to feel complete resentment
Isn't that enough?

Borrow my thoughts without me
Be sure to use them as you please
Strip my pride away from me
Be sure to take every bit that you need

"Yesterday's Remains"

I'd tell you all about
My secrets and my doubt
Get all of my thoughts out
But I don't even know how

I punish myself more
With nothing to show for
Some may know whats in store
But all I see are closed doors

Someday is such a long way away
And for now, I'm stuck in replay
Living all these rerun days
Can't get past yesterday's remains

Up ahead a forked road
Don't know which way to go
All my hopes up in smoke
Doesn't matter I suppose

I don't think there's a key
To knowing who you'll be
It's all uncertainty
And never what you believe

Chorus

And maybe I talk to much
And there is, is no such
thing as being prepared
As long as you're semi-aware

Chorus

Foolish Resentment
I really liked this one, you're voice suddenly reminds me of Hayley Williams... call me crazy. That bridge!! intense! i think you should end the song with that bridge part again, but only half the length, kinda like the ending to Best of You by Foo Fighters.

Yesterday's Remains.
Another solid song, i will always admire your ability to create melodies. however, the "whoa wha-ah-oh whoa-ah-oh" parts got a little too repetitious for my tastes. perhaps make the pre-verses half the length, but leave the ending the same length. I think if this was a full band song, the "whoas" wouldn't be too distracting, but for solo guitar and voice it may be a bit too much.

I recently went through my music folders to get rid of stuff i didn't need any more and i came across your old recorded demos and had a re-listen. i really enjoy your stuff Heather, and i hope you continue with it. You had better be playing open mic nights dammit!!!
you have far too much time on your hands
