Vintage 72 RI Fender Telecaster Deluxe Body

(Cant' get the photo links off of eBay for some reason, just click the link)

I plan on doing this -

1 Humbucker Bridge Pickup (suggestions?)
1 Volume knob
Aftermarket bridge (Probably a callaham bridge, I like quality shit!)
1 Custom Warmoth Pickguard (Black)

Will look like this when I'm done, except with the specs above -

This will essentially be the same guitar Deryck plays, only different finish.

Link for the body goes to the neck page on eBay mate.

I think you should keep all the tone and volume controls, it looks way better like that. Maybe lose one tone control and put the jack input there.

Fixed! I might do that Max. I would like the input jack on the pickguard, its just a matter of if Warmoth can do it.

I have one, and they're solid guitars. Could use a few of my own special mods, but other than that.. Nice!

Here's a mockup I made of how it will look in comparison to the stock version.

Mine is that color, so it'd be really awesome if mine could be like that. I just think input jacks on the side is stupid, it puts stress on the chord.

Looks good but you might want the input jack behind the volume/tone in case the wire catches and turns them.

Fender's are overrated. Les Paul's are the way to go.

I've been wanting to get a Les Paul for a while now, but I never know what kind to get. I saw a beautiful Les Paul Classic in vintage sunburst, but they're discontinued now. If I could spent my money willy-nilly, I'd probably get this one.

I really like Fenders since they're cheaper than Gibsons and Telecasters are really customizable. Again, if I could spend my money willy-nilly, every new Tele I'd get would be customized.

That's where Epiphone comes in. They're Gibsons Squier minus the crappiness. Really good guitars.

I'm thinking of getting somehting like this:

I used to own that guitar. It was good as you'd expect but it weighed an absolute ton. I got it replaced with the 2008 Standard which is pretty much the same just more modernised with silver pickups, a LOT lighter etc.
