My covers (182sins) Latest: Reason To Believe

Post by 182sins »

Hey all !
I just made a cover of AI and I wanted your opinion.
Here's da link : http://www.4shared.com/audio/5nm_srDq/a ... novox.html
I know, I fucked up the solo, so please don't be too rude :confusion:

Edit:

Alright, I talked a while ago about a cover of Reason To Believe I'm currently making. I thought I'd be able to finish it this week, but it's not the case. Anyway I'm pretty excited with what I've got so far, and I just want you ton hear it. I've tried new ampsims, and new virtual instruments, and I quite like the result but there's nothing better than your opinion guys, so if you have a minute or two, please check it out ! What's missing is the outro (I made it, but it's not perfectly synced so I keep it for me till I do a better take)
Thanks in advance for your comments (good or bad, both help !)

No, the drums are a virtual instrument (I had to mix them though).
Thanks for your comment !

I used my squier 51 that I modded with a sh-4 pickup. After that, it's all software. I used only Waves stuff (like Deryck). The fact with virtual instruments is that they often sound un-natural, so I had to focus on that too. Thanks for you comments !

Kick ass dude! Great sound. You know what you should do? Make it like live version and add drums at the end when the piano part comes!

Thanks Samuel ! I'll try to do it, but I'm not very good at drums programming so I'll do my best. On the outro that I've done, I added a guitar on the center, so I guess adding the drums would sound pretty good !
Anyway, thanks again !

Alright so this one has nothing to do with Heather's cover, as it's not acoustic. I did as Samuel suggested, that's to say I added a drum part in the end, I'm not sure about how I feel about it though, so tell me what you think !
Here's the link (I also posted in on my first post)
Thanks !

It's really great man. You're awesome guitarist and pianist. I would have done the drums a bit different at the ending, but still I think it sounded good! Great job!

Heather: Thank you !! As the live version was Samuel's idea ;)
Samuel: Well, thank you too ! You had a great idea for the live version - it was easier for me to do the piano part with the drums, before that I was off the grid (for some reason I got some troubles following the metronome, I'm usually guided by the drums, so it was a good thing that I put the drums). How would you do the drums ? I'll try to see if I can change it, I think it would be cool to add something more to it !
