Well, don't get me wrong! Squier really has some awesome gems out there. I just haven't ran across one.
I did see a J5 Tele that i would've done horrible things for, though. And it was a squier.
Im sayin'. Don't be suckered into buying a sig squier guitar, cos you know you could prolly get that same guitar for less.
Look at sir Hetfield's ESP, for example. Just cos he might have pimp'ed it out to look like his truck, they wanna sell it for around $1,500. But the guitar that's actually being sold, only cost's around $600.

I once test played the Deryck sig and a regular Squier tele and the non-Deryck guitar sounded much better anyway.

so all in all, i think we can say that unless you're collecting it, go buy a better guitar. the 72 deluxe is amazing and i want one, but i bought the squier because i was an ignorant 14 year old fanboy.

i own one deryck sig.. its good but its just for begginers, if you want somo more sofisticated guitar just go for the fender, thats it

After switching out the stock pickup with the Seymour Duncan JB this guitar sounds so much better. It just depends whether or not you like to have permanent X's on your guitar or having a guitar with cheap woods (Agathis). The neck really bugs me though. Is that a satin finish? It just feels kind of cheap to me. The gloss on the Fender Telecaster Deluxe's are really nice.

buy a fender,fender is alot of better than squier
just derycks own guitar is a fender,but not the model that you can buy....

I have one, but its just to play around with, I don't really record with it or perform with it, just mess around with covers and such, more of a practice guitar for me. I'll get a better one, when I can afford it
