Dave Brownsound Returns to Sum 41 for APMAs

In case you missed the Alternative Press Music Awards on Wednesday you can catch Sum 41's energetic performance here:

There is no doubting the overwhelming feelings this performance brings, especially when Dave Brownsound takes the stage to play the solo to In Too Deep.

After the show Dave posts an Instagram photo stating "Yes yes y'all I'm back." It is unclear if he means he was back to play that show in particular or back in the band officially.

Regardless, the show brought much nostalgia and happiness to Sum 41 fans.

i found this live stream available to us Canadians too. i think their performance was 40 minutes ago but i cant get the video to load when going back

They killed it! They fucking killed it!!!!! Unbelievable!!!! Dave running out onto the stage just in time for the In Too Deep solo was great, and then to play the rest of the set with the guys was amazing!!!! DMC was awesome too!!!! And it was really great to see Deryck so healthy and back to his normal self!!!

I love it!! And I love the fact that Dave performed as well but I can't help but feel bad for Tom a little bit. Once after Dave came out, he stayed in the back of the stage just standing there awkward.

I watched it live via live stream and I STILL cannot get over this, as I'm still sat here at my laptop watching this performance. This performance is EVERYTHING! As soon as the announcer said Sum 41 have a guest before they went on stage, I totally thought, "Imagine if it's Dave", but I didn't want to be that person. Honestly, all of the guys have never looked like they enjoyed anything more than that moment, Dave included. I literally was just as floored when they went into "What We're All About", which is something I have been wanting to see again immensely.

I feel like this is as Dave was when he joined the Sums on stage in 2008, but only time will tell—or Deryck. :winkwink:

PS: I didn't notice that about Tom, but all those guys earned their right to be up on that stage so I hope he wasn't feeling that way!

Wow. Frank fucked up where to come in at on Still Waiting, haha. The rest was fucking awesome though. Gave me goosebumps. I kinda feel sorry for Tom though. He seemed so shy after Dave started singing.

Nothing is for certain right now. Personally, I feel like Dave's returned mainly due to him not denying it yet.

I think the beginning was a little bit weak, but after Still Waiting they were pure awesome!

Yeah, I felt a little sorry for Tom too, but I think it was a one-time-only return for Dave, what would be the point of having 3 guitars (+1 bass)?
