SUM 41 recently in toronto (private show)

so yeah i got a link form a sum 41 myspace bulletin saying i could get 2 free tickets to a private show sponsored by 102.1 the Edge in toronto. i went last night and it fucking rocked. i got to be in front row center :) there was only around 150 people and first the opening band (high definition) played then sum 41 got on and it was awesome. Avril Lavigne was there, and Ian from Billy Talent played the last song Pain For Pleasure. they played new songs like underclass hero and march of the dogs, and two new songs. they also played songs like we're all to blame, in too deep and still waiting. deryck told me to shutup cause i kept screaming lol he wanted to concentrate. i also got a guitar pick deryck threw. as well their new guitarist is former lead of gob and they covered a gob cover called Soda.

woo i was there, front row also, infront of tom though, so we were just a couple people away from each other, oh and to the guy who asked, yes, they brought back in too deep

also i got a glimpse of the setlist from my view, and from what i remember the 2 new songs they played aside from underclass hero and march of the dogs, one was called Confusion, and the other was labelled "KOC". it prolly stands for a longer title like the other songs on the setlist (pain for pleasure was P4P)

also it was really cool when Ian came out because it caught me off guard. i was taking pictures of Deryck and Tom, then i hear the crowd go crazy and i glance around and theres Ian out of the blue. at first i had a WTF look on my face :P

also avril was like right beside the crowd with other people, it was an area where people sit down and have drinks and stuff. then after she when right by us when the show was over it was pretty sweet.

but i think the WHOLE highlight of the night was during pain for pleasure, when the guitar is playing before the vocals come in and during that whole guitar part Stevo takes a whole Heineken beer and chugs it down, then just starts singing and doing his thing, it was pretty badass 8)
