OID thoughts/reviews (The Leak Thread)

Post by TomiT14 »

That's it. The final and official leak thread for Order In Decline.

Some stores in US and Canada have taken the album release to their own hands, and have started to sell the album a week before the official release date. So, it's only a matter of time (pun intended) when the album is floating around the interweb.

As usual, all the discussion about the album should happen here, until July 19th.

EDIT: As the album has now been released, this thread continues to be the place for your thoughts and reviews about the album. The other Order In Decline thread is for interviews, articles, videos and all other Sum 41 stuff.

Is not a crime, is obvious that everyone or almost 80% of people will hear the leak, that is not a crime, or means that you don't support the band because I think if you buy different versions of the album (digital, physical, vinyl) and go to a lot of gigs you are supporting the band even if you hear the leak, but that is my way to see those type of things.

In other things, I'm finishing of hearing the full discography of the sums is my kind of "ritual" to hear the new one.

Same, but i'm on underclass hero right now (My favourite record)
I won't be making SBM/13 Voices. 95% sure it will leak within half an hour now

Loved finally hearing ‘The People vs’ as the studio version, but the stand out thus far has definitely been ‘Catching Fire’. Sonically not what I expected but goodness did it hit like a tonne of bricks.

This album is a masterpiece for me, every song is amazing! After listening to the whole album I have my favorites: The People Vs, The New Sensation, Eat You Alive, Catching Fire, Turning Away, Heads Will Roll, obviously the singles too. Deryck's voice sounds very powerful even in the acoustic version I really like this album. My favorite one is The People Vs... and Catching Fire is that one that is inspired in some part in Chester Bennington pass right?

Yeah that’s the one. Honestly after a few listens of both the normal and acoustic version I think it may just be one of the best songs they’ve ever done. Full on palpitations after that one.

If you know part of the meaning of the song, it hurts a bit, because of that...

Man this album is amazing. Gives me chuck vibes, and catching fire shows how amazing Deryck is at writing music! Should've been a single before release.

Wow. Amazing record. I still need to spin it a few more times but Turning Away and Heads Will Roll we're instant classics for me..
Not to mention that Catching Fire made me cry on the first listen - something a Sum41 song has never managed to do before.

Edit. On more listens the latter half of Turning Away reminds me a lot Back Where I Belong but also Twisted by Design.. Interesting one

Some Muse. Some The Offspring. A lot of Sum 41. First time listening was quite a ride. Let's go again.
