According to a rumour, the new single A Death In The Family will be released tomorrow June 11th. This is the same source that predicted Out For Blood correctly, so we have reason to believe (pun intended) that it's just a matter of hours before the song will leak. As usual, there are a bunch of Skumfuks who would like to wait for the official release before listening to a song for the first time. Let’s give those guys a chance to enjoy discussing the new album hype without spoiling it for them.

All the discussion about A Death In The Family should be posted here.

Technically probably not a leak since it got released somewhere in the world where it's 11th already!

Sounds great, I maybe like it more than Out for Blood. Very heavy and aggressive but has slow parts like Sum 41 songs tend to have after SBM! Great representation of Sum 41 song. Love the shreddy solos on the new record but at the same time miss the more melodic ones from DTLI/Chuck.

Wow great song, too. This could be the best album from Sum 41.

Had to get used to it at first, started loving it after the third listen. I really love the quiet start to the chorus!

I think it's a really good song, I prefer it to Out For Blood lyrically (I have my issues with the chorus of Out For Blood). I love the quieter parts and the chorus is really strong, guitar is on point yet again. It reminds me of Happiness Machine mixed with stuff from Chuck

I edited the original post to contain the music video that was released today.

As for my thoughts on the song... I really enjoyed it. I think I like it better than Out for Blood, especially the chorus. I've just had "your lies will tear you apart" stuck in my head all day. This is the direction I really hoped they would go after Chuck, but obviously it didn't go that way. Regardless, this seems to be shaping up to be Sum 41's most well-rounded album yet.
