As usual, there are a bunch of Skumfuks who would like to wait for the official release before listening to a song for the first time. Let’s give those guys a chance to enjoy discussing the new album hype without spoiling it for them.

All the discussion about Out For Blood should be posted here, until the song is officially out.

Go!

For some reason it is giving me a lot of Linkin Park vibes.

The only thing I'm sad  about is that it is relatively simple instrumentically and claims none of the potentials provided by having 3 guitarists. Gonna cross my fingers that there will be more complexity in that department in the rest of the album!

A smashing solo tho!! :holyshit:

A fun comment on Reddit btw

I'm not really feeling any Linkin Park vibes but I am loving what I'm hearing. I really love the instrumental parts and the quiet parts. I love hearing the bass and that solo is a shredder, I hope Dave can do it justice live lol

I love the sounds in the opening part of the song, they sound awesome. For me the album seems more political which is what I was hoping for, some of the track titles allude to that. If they were going in that direction then the lyrics of the chorus don't seem quite right, for me instead of Hell To Pay it should've been something like Let's Make Them Pay. I love proposing alternative lyrics lol

I'm not feeling this song, it's flat to me. The instrumentals are okay, the chorus is like we've already heard million times before and the lyrics is just… bad. Overall, it's okay, more likely a b-side… except, there are many Sum 41 b-side songs that I really like. This song is just okay, waiting for the rest. :confusion:

I just heard the world premiere not long ago, and since then, I've listened to it so many times more! It has a theatrical feel, much like 13 Voices and its title track, and even some borrowed elements like that faded laugh at the end of the duration. I expect the same feel for the rest of the album, and I am excited for what awaits!

I really like it. It sounds like a natural evolution from 13 Voices and SBM before it. Maybe a mix between 13 Voices and Chuck, but still very new. All good things.

Can anyone make out the lyrics following "I can't believe a single word that you say" before the second chorus?

After listening this I'm very excited for the full album! Only wish there was more than 10 songs there but I guess it's all killer no filler.

I wish... I was sitting with that line more than an hour today but still haven't figured it out :sosad:

I admit the chorus doesn't sound too original but I'm really into the changes and the quiet parts. No idea what I even expected but I looove what I'm hearing here.

I totally agree I love the sound of the drums and bass. The guitars sound awesome and heavy (that solo though!). The sound is very big overall. Although I do wish sometime we could hear a lesser produced song/album such as the early records.

Same, love the quiet parts and instrumental sections and I love the intro. However the chorus sounds a little similar to Goddamn I'm Dead Again. Lyrically I love the political/social message in the beginning of the song but the chorus doesn't really reflect that (I did read that blabbermouth interview saying he didn't want to make it too political so maybe that's why). But I feel like it doesn't have enough of a 'hook' to tie into the rest of the song. For me it should've been something like:

All that we have is just slipping away,
And I don't believe we've got nothing to say,
You can't stop the bleeding, it's almost too late,
So we've gotta find a way, to make them pay

Also I feel like the 'they're out for blood' should've been 'we're out for blood' just to make it that bit more of a personal song so we can relate with them more.

Someone here said that the song remind a bit of Linkin Park and yeah some of the riff reminds me to "Rebellion"
