Dave has officially been out of the band longer than he was a member since the Sums hit it big. Crazy!

and they made 4 albums back then ,and only 2 after he left ^^

Not that Dave had any special influence on the creative progress (that's kind of controlled by the label anyway)...

Not this again, Dave had a huge impact on the sound of the band on the fact alone that Deryck wrote things he "thought Dave would like to play",

Exactly. Sure Deryck wrote the meat of the songs, but when a writer's creativity is curved in order to appease another member of the band, it's kind of a big thing. Dave was always the metal influence. Deryck was more about rock and roll.
