Yeah, I remember when I first heard that I was like "Holy crap! That's pretty cool!" Plus, Nirvana was one of Deryck's favorite bands when he was like 14 or so... He even had the "Kurt Cobain haircut" when he was a teenager, haha.

what people who "don't see what all the fuss" about Nirvana have to realize is that it was a different time musically in the late80's-early 90's. Teenagers in that time couldn't relate to the hair/glam metal bands who only sung about getting wasted and partying, and were also sick of the over saturation of synthy pop music. bands like Nirvana came out with simple heavy riffs and music that was raw and lyrics that made them excited and angry. it was pure, raw energy in these bands. thats why Nirvana was big, because they made music that was simple, energetic, angry and raw. you don't realize that because we weren't teenagers in 1991, in fact few of us were even born in 1991. the world needs a band like Nirvana again, stop with all this justin beiber bullshit and get back to real music.
you have far too much time on your hands

Not suprising. The song was released in 2002, and was very popular throughout 2003.

Sure he changed music, but in his eyes it was for the worse. He was a guy who worked against the system and his music BECAME the system. That's why he killed himself. It's pretty tragic.
