Your thoughts on Underclass Hero

i thought the album was very good, but when you compare it to older ones, it really isn't that great. IMO remember.....
i found that a lot of the songs have VERY similar sounds (guitar riffs, etc.). For example, the beginning of march of the dogs, and the beginning of pull the curtain. Both good songs, but too similar. Also if you played march of the dogs and walking disaster at the same time you would hardly be able to tell them apart. haha.
another thing i didnt really like about the album was the number of slow songs. i know some people are going to say, "oh, well thats their style, they've grown up". which is true, but it's not the sum 41 i like. With me is a great song, probably my favorite slow song on the album. the others are good, but there are way too many. at least for a sum 41 album.
overall, the CD is good, but for ME it doesnt even come close to the older sum 41 greats (AKNF and does this look infected)

i love the album, but at points it is too slow for me. i love how some of the songs sound like the old sum 41, some good old punk rock. but i do miss the metal/heavy influence that i guess dave had on them. deryck is a very talented songwriter and guitar player and i love his creativity, but dave does solo better. i just wish the album was a little more diverse, the only thing this thing has is like slow songs and punk. wish there were a few songs like Open Your Eyes or something like that.
