L.A. Noire

Post by Queso Man »

Anybody else got L.A. Noire? It's gotten pretty good reviews at being a mentally stimulating game. I just got it.

My point is, some of the graphic design in the text during the game is identical to the Screaming Bloody Murder album text. It's pretty neat

I just bought it today and I'm going to play it later tonight. I heard it's more investigative sort of stuff as opposed to just using guns like in Grand Theft Auto. You have to watch character's facial expressions to determine if they're lying or not? I can't remember exactly, but I read a review in the paper today and decided to buy it.

Yeah they used some fancy ass tech that pretty much gets picture perfect face expressions from real people.

I want to fly, Can you take me far away, Give me a star to reach for, Tell me what it takes, And I’ll go so high, I’ll go so high, My feet won’t touch the ground, its my wings, That pull the strings, I bought these dreams, That all fall down

I don't know too much about this game but I want something to occupy me now the footy season has finished, and this seems like the perfect game.

You pretty much hit the nail on the head, Jeremy.

There's exploring to be done and hidden stuff to be found, but it's not *AS* sandboxey (?) as GTA, in the sense that you'll never be roaming around without being on a case.

If you have the option, buy for PS3 over 360. 360 version has 3 disks >.>

Just with the tough graphical parts, the xbox 360 will slow down or have a bit of fuzzyness until it loads it all properly. Just what I've heard from a couple reviews so thought I'd let people know. It's not the actual graphics it's just flicking/slowing down when the graphics are strained, I've heard the ps3 handles it better.

I don't care, I was letting people know what I heard. Stop acting like I'm lying or something. if you had the choice of either then it would be smart to buy it on the one that hasn't been known to have problems.

I watch a gameshow and their team of 6 who play it on their own separate xbox's all contribute to the reviews pointed it out. It's obviously a thing to note. Now fuck off you tool.

I think you need to calm down, just because his experience with the game was different from yours was no reason for that.

He said I'm wrong, I'm not. He could've just said "oh, I haven't heard anything about that, guess it's something to look out for" but no, he has to be an elitist douche like most of the people with a different coloured name on this site. Thank god there's some people with sense though, and you didn't encourage his belittling.

I appreciate your jokes, actually lightens up this place.

I'm not saying Jake is wrong, he mightn't have had any problems with it which is fine, but I had heard people had had problems with the xbox and not ps3, so I mentioned it. But NOOOOOO, because my name is black and I have under 1,000 posts I must be wrong! I guess that's how things work hey? THIS GUY CAN'T HAVE A VALID POINT HE'S NOT AUTHOROTAI!!!11!1!1

LET'S JUST ALL BE HAPPY THAT WE HAVE ALL SURVIVED AT LEAST COUPLE OF RAPTURES, MKAY?

I hate the idea of changing disc during game, even tho it takes like 3 seconds. That's how lazy I am. I just recently started playing Red Dead Redemption and plan to actually finish it this time. After that I'll think about L.A.Noire!

Dear Tyler,

i don't think Jake has offended you in any sort of way, why so angry my friend? You have to accept some things in life, like the fact that XBox360 = PS3, and that Blink are fuckin thieves $$$$$$$$$.

Truly yours,
Madjid

In fairness, I've heard some complaints of the PS3 overheating when playing the game. If it is true or not. I don't know.
