So I was browsing Wikipedia randomly and I found out that there's going to be a sequel to Donnie Darko? I feel like I've been in the dark about it (no pun intended, but if you thought it was funny, then yes, pun intended). Did anyone else know about this?

It's coming out on DVD May 12th 2009. I don't think it'll be out in theaters.

WOW! I haven't seen a trailer like that in a long time that satisfied me so much. Looks like an AWESOME movie!!!! I wish it was in theaters.

my friend was tellin me about it a lil while back. I hope it's good, it could be if they do it right.
but i'm not sure if donnie darko is supposed to be the kind of movie with a sequel.

It's probably been about 3 or 4 years since I've seen Donnie Darko, but it was really good. Since the sequel has a different writer and director, it's probably going to feel different, but it's worth a check out anyway.

As downer of a song Mad World is, I love it a lot.

I just watched S. Darko last night and yeah, I didn't like it. I haven't seen the first one in maybe three or four years, so I can't compare them. But Donnie Darko had some eerie feeling at the end that left you all depressed because of the ending. This one was kind of overkill with their time travel.
