Anyone else in love with Ari Gold?

Is it just me or is Ari Gold the single best character ever written right after House (may be even beating him)?

I didn't know the show until a few weeks ago and after checking out some clips, I watched all seasons in a couple of days and everytime he had one of his angerattack meltdown moments, it fucking killed me, especially the ones involving Lloyd .. so hilarious.

Sounds like a crappy hollywood sellout TV series, which is exactly what I expected when I saw the ads. But you will be suprised how well it is written as a whole. Mark Wahlberg is producing and even has a short appearance.

The first few episodes left me unsure if I liked it, because there were some good quotes but I didn't care about any of the characters yet. That changed, though.

The crazy director is great, too.

He does indeed. Must be a lot of fun to play that role but also pretty damn hard to keep a straight face sometimes.

Watch the episode again with Lloyd hitting on the gay producer* while having dinner with him and Ari has to act serious and annoyed but if you watch closely you can see Jeremy Piven is dying to laugh and hides it with his hand covering his face.

Ari is the man! Jeremy Piven is an amazing actor and he plays Ari so well, he's doing a great job, I keep seeing every year that he's nominated for an Emmy for his role as Ari but never wins it, its a shame. I think last time he lost to Jon Cryer (Allan) from Two and a Half Men, who is pretty funny and all, but he's nowhere near as funny as Ari!!
