You have to change the FLV video format of those videos into an MP4 video format in order to get it onto your iPod. You simply convert it with a video convertor (you can find online ones, which are quicker) Once you change the formats, you open the file into iTunes, just like you do with songs and once it opens, you drag the file into the iPod icon where it says the name of your iPod.

You can rip it in MP4, and even in HD if the video is HD on Youtube.

For some reason it won't go onto my iTunes, it just tries to open it in windows media player, but then tells me I can't play it (which isn't anything to do with the video, my media player just doesn't play videos).

Right click > Open with... > Itunes
and make sure your default player for opening media files is set to iTunes. You can change this by going into your user Control Panel. Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Autoplay

If you are talking about an jailbroken iPod touch, you can also download MxTube from Cydia and simply download the videos directly onto your iPod.

I've got the same problem too. I think you can only open videos on itunes that are bought through itunes.

It's done it now thanks, it turned out it was in the 'films' section of my iTunes after I dragged it onto iTunes from the first place I saved it to
