dumbest lie of my life

so i havent been to TNS in a couple months, just checking periodically for news but i really need to vent and ask a couple questions about, possibly, the dumbest thing i have ever done.

i lied about getting a bj from a girl that i almost had a relationship with over the summer, may not sound to bad but i kept on saying it was the truth for the longest time. i initially told the lie in mid july and told everyone it was the truth except for the one girl, obviously. so now i just feel bad and the girl found out about it and was reading my friend conversations that we had on what (didnt) go down and she knows and everythings fucked. now the girl, who was a fairly good friend, will never look at me the same again, all my class mates will think im the biggest idiot in the world and wont ever let it down and will always nag me about it. so i pretty much dont want to go to school for a little while to confront my mistakes but i have to and im gonna be like the school douchefuck.
i sent her a long ass email saying it was my mistake and that i shouldnt lie and im feel so shitty and im sorry, but thats obviously not good enough. other people that know will ask me about it and im gonna have to say nothing went down but theyll say people told them about it and............................................... i give up talking for a while

You got to talk to her face to face if you ever want to have a chance at forgiveness. It takes a lot of courage to apologize like that after big mistakes, so she'll have to respect your bravery to admit your fault.

After everything I've been through, I find asking a girl out or saying sorry works the best through face to face confrontation instead of emails, text messages... etc.

As for school, go. The only way you can make things any worse is by hiding, accept what you've done and live with it, people will respect you more for being there than just running away.
