Just a lil tip! x

Post by CrazyMelissaBunkface »

Just a lil tip for everyone who has problems. I have alot of things going on in my life at the moment, sometimes I wonder how I cope! But everytime I feel like shit and feel sorry for myself, I tell myself this:

"No matter what I'm going through right now, there's always gonna be someone out there going through a hell of alot worse."

And then I start to think of how lucky I am compared to so many others. Life might be shit sometimes, but just think of the positives in your life. It always makes me feel better. :D

My favourite advise given to me by a wise old woman was...

They are pretty good theories! The way I see it is, you only live once, so make the most of it and be positive as much as you can! A mean, I've went through so much shit in my life it's unreal! But here I am with a great job a loving relationship and the best of friends. So many times I have said "I hate my life!" But I love my life! Let's just say, I'm a happier person than I ever was in the past! :)

well i think its kind of dumb to complain, because for the mostpart no one cares, everyone has problems. like especially on a forum, no one really cares, it may be an alright place to gt advice, but still, i don't know complaining on the internet jsut seems dumb to me. or even complaining to friends. you really shouldn't be complaining too much, especially with the way we live our lives

Okay! Call my comment a book but here goes!

I'd have to disagree there, it's all about coping strategies and how you as an individual deal with your problems and how you seek to solve them. Everyone has different coping strategies and "escapes" if you like, so maybe for some people, having a rant or pouring their heart out is their way of dealing with it and their way of escaping from the strain/frustration. I think it's a great idea that forums set up lil things like this. Cuz sometimes, people don't have anybody else to talk to and sometimes see a forum as a last resort. However, I do agree that you really shudnt complain to much cuz I mean, look at all the kids who are like disabled, handicapped etc. We should thank our lucky stars that the only problems we have is like falling out with boyfriends/girlfriends etc. What we all have to remember is that alot of other people aren't so lucky and have problems that are 10 times worse than ours.

peoples way of ridding their frustration MAY be to vent it out on other people. but as they may the other person most likely does not care, unless its a close friend/family member. everyone complains, when they are complaining they feel like its completely legit, but when they are getting complained on, they are like wtf i don't care. unless its someone you actually care about.

Yet again, I'd have to disagree with you. Going back to what I said about some people not having anyone else to talk to and coping strategies I still stand by what I say in terms of it being a great idea to have threads like this on forums. I think that regardless of whether other people care or not, (they might not even want a response) it is way for them to "let it all out" if you like. I find that once I've spoken to someone about any problems or yes, even type them in a forum or an email (in my case i send an email to friends or whatever) I feel alot better afterwards because I have gotten it off my chest. Everyone complains and has a little rant sometimes! It's part of life. However, in the most polite way possible, if you genuinely don't care then don't go on the thread. Simple! I care about everyone! Even if I don't know them at all! I deal with members of the public everyday at my office and I care about and feel sorry for them when they are having difficulties in terms of the service they are receiving from us. I guess I'm just big hearted! :D

Do u see what I mean?

I feel that way all the time. When stuff brings me down I just look at all the stuff I have and have gratitude towards it because somewhere someone probably wishes they had the same.

But I try not to bottle up my emotions. It kind of gives me relief when I know someone else knows what I'm going through. Being completely isolated is probably one of the worst things that can happen to a person.

I totally agree with the main point of the thread (I hate agreeing with someone who uses pink font and uses "z" instead of "s" and types "to" as "2"...but yeah.

There's always someone worse off than you. Usually a LOT of people.

And as someone mentioned about the Rocked: Sum 41 in Congo dvd...so, 100% true. I always, always think of that dvd when I'm feeling sorry for myself...and if that isn't enough - I actually will watch it.

We all need to be a lot less selfish, I think.
