If you have to generalize, why not do it right:
Humans, many of them are ignorant and selfish...

The way she acted, she was obviously not right for you and that idiot clearly had it coming. But it is a good sign that you regret what you did, because if your feelings for her made you do this, you might end up hurting yourself or someone uninvolved, who could be good for you to get over this or even be looking for someone like you. Try not to let that happen and keep an open mind. You will probably feel like the whole thing was a big stupid waste of time, but it wasn't.
Saying this makes me realize, how much of a hypocrite I am myself... I can barely look in the mirror again without hating what a life-despising mess I've become and am already telling other people how to handle their disappointments. I'm just saying, you can do better with the right support and beliefs, which unfortunately I didn't have.
