YES you can use them together, but do not turm the volume to the maximum.
to be shure that everything is ok, put the volum misximun to 7 out of ten

As a gibson owner,i would not recomend to buy epiphone,BUT these epiphones are very different!some sound normal and some REALLY AWEFULL(even same factory,same day of production).So take your time to test at least 5 guitars before you buy one :)
