Re: Awesumness of Sum 41 in Moscow (25.06.12)

Billy Spleen sounded awesome!!!
That it did, and what caught my attention in that Billy Spleen-clip, was the fact that both Derycks and Toms vocals were excellent!

I'd cry if I were to see them live and they wouldn't play Pain for Pleasure. :silly:

Re: Music Video For 'Blood In My Eyes'

Remember when everyone was making some twisted plot estimations for the SBM video back then? Try it with this one but with 10x more craziness and blood. Felt like watching a Quentin Tarantino movie. I think I couldn't even come up with a plot like that in my craziest imagination. Hell yeah. Sounds ...

Re: Sum41/SBM Discussion!

Huh. Hopefully they get a new label soon. I really hope for Epitaph, but I suppose they'll sign to some big major label. Anyhow, I think this may be a good thing, considering how much dispute they've had with Island in the past few years.

Re: Sum 41 Interview - July 16

I've kinda wondered why they haven't done any collaborations with other artists in a long time. I think most of those have turned out to be pretty good.

Haha. The We Will Rock You-cover sounds really nice!
It's cool how they punkified it and really made it their own. Nice.

Re: MUSE Album Trailer (Album in September)

Though Muse has been quite often criticized for mimicking Queen, this time they've taken it to a completely new level with this Survival song... The song just reeks of Queen. But it's still better than half of what was on Resistance. ..

Re: Streetlight Manifesto

Honestly- I dont even really think these guys match the category of "ska". May I ask you why? As far as I'm concerned most of their music is pretty darn clearly 3d-wave ska. All the key-elements are there. Sure they throw some other influences than punk and ska into mix as well, but it's ...

Re: Streetlight Manifesto

They're good, one of the best 3d-wave ska bands for sure. Great basslines. Though, I must be honest and say that I prefer many other ska-bands over these guys. Great band nonetheless.

Re: Jedi Mind Tricks

it's not just hip-hop actually, it's all genres, the ideas are running out, there's a few good new worthy arists there like Immortal Technique and so on, mostly underground. But also bands like Brand New, something new and originale. Sure, but I think the decay is most apparent in hip-hop. But yeah...

Re: Jedi Mind Tricks

well, that's not just them, many bands who were starting in the 90's now suck ass, no matter what the genre, it kind of comes with the years. Haha. You definitely got that right. I'm a sucker for oldskool and 90's hip-hop, but nowadays most of hiphop really sucks. I wish it didn't, but well, thats ...

Re: Jedi Mind Tricks

I used to like them, nowadays, not so much. Most of their songs are honestly quite crap, especially on the lyrical side which I find to be the most important aspect of Hip-hop.

I think the picture #12 is interpreted wrong,
the guy is obviously stealing the shoes from the homeless girl. Why'd she be crying otherwise?

Re: Green Day

I'm not a huge fan of Green Day (maybe 20% of their catalog is good to my earhole), but I must say that the trailer for Uno sounds great! I like how it has a funky feeling to it, (and the video even gives a nod, or at least i think.. to Bootsy Collins, with the glasses at 0:02!). If the rest of the ...

Yet to hear anything else than Phoebe than the old ep, but if that's what to expect from the album, then it's going to be amazing.
I hope they're going to do it big, since from what i've heard they deserve it.

Re: Sum41/SBM Discussion!

I dont like doubleposting, but here goes: I found this pretty cool interview with Steve and Dave (yeah it's old), but I don't think many have ever read it. I certainly hadn't although i've been quite thorough reading their interviews. http://thepunksite.com/interviews.php?page=sum41 It's quite funny...
