Bands that could be classic?

Post by Muttweed182 »

Well when you look back and think of classic music you think of like....
The Rolling Stones
The Who
Led Zeppelin
The Beatles
etc.

In 20-35 years what bands do you think they will consider classics from today?
I'm gonna be honest and say.

Green Day
Coldplay
Foo Fighters
blink 182 (this is a maybe depends on the next few albums)
Nirvana
Red Hot Chili Peppers

Those are mine what about yours?

Jonas Brothers, cause of their new single "Paranoid". In 20-30 years when kids scream "play paranoid" at concerts, they wanna hear jonas brothers song, and nobody remembers black sabbath.

Not a 'classic' band. They didn't do anything new.

i highly doubt that haha
Children of the beast embrace,
To scorn and the human race,
Consume the light that hugs the earth,
And aid the womb in giving birth,
To a group that will appear,
And guide you through this final year,
The dark armies then will come,
When the sum is 41

Yup, just as much bullshit as all of the other bands mentioned in this thread, still Green day 'n Nirvana will probably have a good chance to become classic in punk and grunge..

Yeah, I think Radiohead and Foo Fighters could be considered legends in the future, as much as Led Zeppelin and Beatles go.
I dunno if Blink 182 are gonna be legends but they are gonna be remembered, and Green Day I think could be considered legends, espeicially if they will go on making more inspirational albums like the last one, thats the material fo legends (even though everyone wants to see them go back to their better punk roots).

Oasis probably too... even though they aren't that great or anything...
Probably Rage Against the Machine, Lamb of God, In Flames and Avantasia too, they all very innovative in their genres.
