"Dr. Dynamite must really know how much I love him. It was sunny and eight degrees fahrenheit when I left Los Angeles to head to Toronto. Luckily I had bought some snow boots so I was prepared. We headed out to Cone's hometown of Ajax just outside of TO. to put my rusty pipes to work on the new record. Oh yeah, and Dynamite sang too. We we're lucky enough to have a whole house to ourselves for the week where we set up a vocal booth in the laundry room. Every morning when we'd get up to record my back would really be hurting and the reason is really bad news for all you young female admirers. Dr. D is a shitty cuddler! After about four cups of coffee and a couple of shot's of Jack Daniels my vocals were completely warmed up and we pulled off some notes that Simon Cowel would hate, but only a little bit! I think we finished vocals on fifteen new tracks for you’re starving ears. I really dig the new OpMd songs. Most of this was written right after we got canned from the hospital. So, there's more hurt, soul and depth in these tunes. We even wrote one right in the studio called "Birds And Bee Stings". It's a song that gives another perspective on religion and how god is different things to different people, or maybe doesn't exist at all! Anyway, while I was in the booth singing the lyrics "I don't need any religion" the doorbell rang. Cone answered and it was two young boys holding bibles asking if we needed to be "saved". We got a little freaked out, went back to recording, but later on decided we should have recorded them! Maybe they’ll eventually appear on the record so that Dynamite and me can reverse our karma.
