This crisis is horrible and from what I've heard, it's not getting better in the following months. People all over the world are losing their jobs and having a huge struggle to make a living. It's pretty sad.

our economy is holding up reasonably well for the time being...
Our governments been doing alot to make sure it remains reasonably steady. Just this week they started sending out "Christmas Bonus" government grant cheques of $1000 and up (amount varies based on criteria for eligibility) to pensioners and families. It is intended that when people receive their cheque they'll go out and spend it on whatever they want rather than put it into savings, thus injecting millions into the economy in an attempt to kick start it over the christmas period. This is helping lots of the struggling families get through christmas, its given them money to freely go buy gifts and food without worrying so much.

the UK are also in alot of shit at the minute, banks are going down the shitter, so my bank decide to give me an overdraft of £1000, for no reason. im a 20 year old, im not going to pay that back straight away, i can't afford to. muppets.

one of my mates was given a credit card by one bank, even though he doesnt have a job. he is now nearly £3000 in debt, and had no job to start paying it back.
