I think a lot of bands would be flattered if fans traveled across the world to watch them play a show. Plus, the Japanese can't have all the fun!

you think they would be flattered? I think it is ridiculous to see over and over again the same concert of a band....I guess a lot of bands have fanatics who travel across...

You think they wouldn't? I haven't even seen Sum 41 yet. And there's like 10+ bands playing that day.

So whoever was asking about where to buy tickets to Punkspring, here's the website.

http://eplus.jp/sys/main.jsp?prm=U=82:P ... 01:P3=0051

But you basically have to translate the thing in order to buy tickets. And you need a credit card.

The Sums actually posted a Myspace blog saying there's tickets on sale now and everything Punk spring related on their myspace. It also says this performance of Punkspring in Japan is in support of the Best of album, cuz its only Japanese. This may hint that they might not be doing a full tour large scale tour in 2009. They aren't even in the 2009 Warped Tour...

Well, it turns out I won't be going to this after all. My friends don't have enough money for the trip and it's probably too late to book flights and all that jazz.

i bet Japan is getting all these sweet bands just for payback for what the states did with Hiroshima. damn states. damn Peral Harbour. Damn Hitler. it's Hitlers fault the Japanese has sweet festivals like this!!!!!

anyways serious now. i don't think i would consider to go to Japana for a few days for just a day or two of concerts. theres way too many people there. but then again, if i made a vacation out of it, do some sight seeing, then it would be alright.

That's what my friends and I were planning to do. I mean, it's still during school, but we would've had four days in Japan with one day being occupied for Punkspring. Sum 41 only plays on the one day and so do most of the other 10+ bands, so that would've really been the only day worth attending. It would've been nice to go.
