This is the biggest and the best Sum 41 fansite, isn't it?
So why not having the correct lyrics at the main site?

Most of the song lyrics at the main site are the ones in booklets, which have some flaws too.
And most of the lyric sites aren't that accurate.

So I was thinking, why not having the most accurate lyrics here?

I decided to write the lyrics myself and to start from scratch. Well almost.
I took the lyrics from the booklets and edited/added the wrong/missing parts judging only by my ear.
This took a lot of time and effort to complete, since I listened to all the songs many times (also in slow motion), word-by-word (even made sure about every single 'a' and 'the'), and so I could get all the backing vocals too.
So these lyrics are much more accurate than you can find anywhere else.

Still, I had fun listening to all the songs, and I found some hidden backing vocals I never heard before.

Many songs (especially in UH) have multiple vocal layers. During the chorus (or pre-chorus), Deryck also sings another chorus, but the volume of it is so low, that you can't really hear it.

The best example of this is Speak Of The Devil's pre-chorus.
The main "layer" is the "I've been waiting for the chance...",
the second contains the backing vocals "Take me down...".
But beside these two "layers", there's also a hidden one, where Deryck sings something totally different from the other two. But the volume of it is so low, that it's impossible to figure out the lyrics without having the original sound files.
Also, in SOTD, there are hidden vocals in the intro and outro too, but the lyrics are hard figure out.

So, after figuring these out, I must say that I admire Deryck even more as a songwriter.
But also, it's a pity, that Deryck has put really much effort to the vocals, but a big part of them can't even be heard.

---

Here's a list of parts I was uncertain about.

T.H.T.
-4th line from the start + backing vocals
It's What We're All About
-some parts in the last verse

Backing vocals:
We're All To Blame
-Before "Can we sing it?" at the start of the song
Speak Of The Devil*
-pre-chorus, intro and outro
March Of The Dogs
-outro

+ all the hidden "vocal layers".

Nevertheless, despite these possible flaws, you can't find more accurate lyrics anywhere else.

*Files sent to Nic, so I deleted the links.
Wait for Nic to post the lyrics at the main site.

IMPORTANT!

-Please, DO NOT post these lyrics elsewhere. I really put some time and effort to this, so let's make this exclusive for TNS!
-I will remove the download files after admins have put these lyrics to the main site.

Yeah, the booklets sometimes fuck up the lyrics too. I have no idea how someone got "You can't count your tears like your money running down like rain in the drain" from King of Contradiction. It just doesn't flow.

like in Walking Disaster, how come it says that its "a pill full of catastrphe" when it sounds nothing like it?

also, in the booklet, Pull the Curtain's lyrics are incomplete.

Yeah, All Killer's lyrics in the booklet are also totally fucked up.

I will try to get these up next week. I can't do it this week because I have a lot of studying to do (finals).

No hurry. I will double check these in a few days when I got time.

But It would be great to get those backing vocals completed. Especially in Speak Of The Devil, Open Your Eyes, and March Of The Dogs. I just made a rough guess on what they could be.
So if someone has a better listen, it would be cool.

*something* days without a trace and I'm lost inside this place now

I think thats what it says in the second verse.......I'm not 100% sure, but I can get background vocals/guitar but in bad quality, so I don't know how accurate it is.....

*something* says sixteen, sweet or seven, but I'm not sure....

Oh, and I always heard in WATB, "we're all here, all" "Wait, we singing?"
