this site has got alot of Sum 41 bashers now. really. this si a Sum 41 FAN SITE. not a bash site. if your not a fan or dont have somthing good to say STFU GTFO

Sum 41 IS and was an awesome band. I HIGHLY doubt deryck is lieng. he;s the face of the band, if he lied to this magnitude and it got out there;d be HELL TO PAY. so i doubt he's lieng. stop bitching about how YOU wanted to see them. they've done SOOO much stuff for their fans. so even if he was lieng, i wouldnt mind so much. they deserve a break. 6 albums HUNDREDS of concerts played 10 years goin at it, lose of a great friend/guitarist. you all need to shut your mouths and show som respect. they've been doin this a long time and they never had to. they have awesome songs and their live shows are amazing but some of you chose to poke and prod at the few band things they have done.

yea, why do bashers even sign up any way

Not to be an ass... but they kind of did have a break. The two or so years they took off after Chuck, where Deryck got married, Stevo directed, Cone did his side project...I don't think the writing process of Underclass Hero was pain-staking at all since the band as a whole pretty much agreed it was their smoothest recording session. They also fired their management, so there was no rush.

writing songs IS opainstaking. period. some songs may be more painstaking but writing just is.

maybe. but doesnt he deserve them? i mean after writing AKNF, DTLI? and Chuck. he deserves more respect than he's getting. plus the studio gave them more control. other bands take breaks.

I think they could ahve at least done 4 years and deserves that.

I'm not trying to fight this or anything, I think it's cool you're defending your favourite band, and you're right - the bashing level has gotten a little out of hand lately...but it's because passions are flying, I think. People feel really strongly about what they're saying...and that's a good thing, right? I think it is at least. I don't think people would be posting so hard and angry about thoughts it may be a fake injury if they didn't love Sum 41 massively, and are really upset and hurt by these notions. And in the end, passion for Sum 41 is a good thing, right?

But yeah. I did also want to say that they are getting paid for what they do. That's all I wanted to throw out there. You say about the albums they put out and how they "didn't have to do that"...no, they didn't have to - but they chose to be a band as their career. So if your career is to make albums, then that's what you do. And they get more time off and breaks in their career than most people do who work 9-5, Monday-Friday *shrug*.

I agree with Sumfan. That whole thing where someone was saying that Deryck is lieing and the reason is because of poor ticket sales, I think is false. This is the worst possible thing for the band at the moment, just when they're getting started on their tour and now they have to disappear for the rest of the year. This could affect ticket sales and CD sales because they aren't out there promoting it.

Anyway, to the topic of sumfan, i agree, suddenly, because of this injury and all, lots of people, bashers, bother to even sign up to here to bash Deryck and all... it sucks, so stop it.

I dont really like the sums as much as before but I still like them i diss them cause of their new album other than that there still awesome.And also Darkstar why are you so sure that hes lieng? can you read minds or something or are you a magician?

Also, pointing out something. Cancelling a major tour like this is not doing anything positive for the band besides some time off which, frankly, I don't think they want right now.

1. They don't get to tour, and they love to tour.
2. They're for the most part out of the public eye, which they don't need with a new album out.
3. They can't make a new video to promote the album because Deryck is injured. Even if pigs can fly and the bashers are right, they have to keep the story backed up.
4. Cancelling a tour costs a band money. They have to pay back the venues now.
