dvd big file

I downloaded a torrent of "Sunshine" and tryed putting it on a DVD but it says it's too big.
Anyway I can get this movie to play on my TV, Any possible way?

What format is the file you're trying to put on? .avi, or .vob?

Well It's avi but it doesnt matter with the program we have, and it was out in theaters but not anymore. not on dvd either lol.

You could use Auto GK and then set the file size to 700MB so it will then fit.

Most DVD writing programs are a piece of trash. I don't know how to help.
It's not the size or the quality, it's the length of the movie. That's why it won't go on the DVD.

I suppose.. But the size and qual are factors affecting the size surely?

Not whatsoever. I've tried reducing the quality to an extremity, and it still wouldn't fit.
