EDIT: Kinda lame. There were only 5 questions, which were asked in Dutch, so not sure what they asked. Nothing overly interesting.

I can confirm they played Breaking the Chain, The Fall and the Rise and Crash.
Other than that, the set was like 90% the same.
It was pretty fucking epic, we belgians know how to get a party started

Re: Don't Call It A Sum-Back World Tour 2017
Saw the show in Bristol last week, loved the setlist and how long the show was! Deryck played the intro to Reason To Believe on piano which was good, one of my favourite songs off SBM. It's the first time I've seen a band in Bristol, the venue was really good but the crowd was a bit boring. Not much compared to Manchester! ;)
I'm in NYC when they play there in May, but they're about a 1h:30 drive away from where I'm staying and I won't have a car. Girlfriend doesn't want to go, any suggestions how I can persuade her?

Re: Don't Call It A Sum-Back World Tour 2017
The show in Brussels was soooo good. I was so relieved when the ticket I bought was valid because I was really skeptical, it's the first time I bought a ticket from someone else but I just had to risk it.
3rd time seeing them, first time was Groezrock 2010 and then Brussels 2010. So 7 years ago they played the exact same venue during the Eastpak Antidote Tour right before Screaming Bloody Murder was released.
Those 2010 concerts were pretty good, fun shows, but to be honest they weren't really memorable.
The concerts they give now is at a whole other level, it's so good to see that the band (and I think all of us know it's mainly Deryck his ideas) puts so much effort in the show and it really pays off. The light show, the old logo, the 41-salute skeleton, the songs in the setlist and the order of the songs. They clearly put thought in it. Glad the shows they're doing now are longer too.
And the performance in general ofcourse. I was so excited to see them with Dave (minus his hat ) for the first time, I feel like he really adds energy to the band and the show. Same for Frank Zummo actually, Stevo is awesome but Frank did an excellent job replacing him. They have a different energy, to me it seemed like Frank hits the drums harder which makes the songs sound heavier if that makes any sense.
The crowd was fantastic too, in 2010 there weren't that many people in the crowd but now the show sold out the day the tickets went on sale and rightfully so.
I wish they played 88 but I was happy to hear Grab the Devil and The Bitter End solo after Motivation.
Speaking of which, the highlight for me was Goddamn I'm Dead Again. The guitar duet halfway the song is insanely good live. I loved it on CD but live it's even better. If they'll use a new song to promote the live in France DVD I'll hope they use this one. Didn't mean to write a review but I guess it proofs they're on top of their game now.
I'm excited for the future of the band, both live and in studio. :)

Thanks for sharing! Glad you had a great time!
Btw, they've now played all the songs from 13 Voices live. That's the first time they've played all the songs from an album since DTLI (although Billy Spleen was debuted in 2012, but better late than never).

So with Breaking The Chain played, now they are played in full all "13 Voices" album, with the exceptions of the bonus tracks like Better Days or Black Eyes. I wish they can play both of that bonus track, here's a little recap of all "13 Voices" album live:
01. A Murder Of Crows
02. Goddamn I'm Dead Again
03. Fake My Own Death
04. Breaking The Chain
05. There Will Be Blood
06. 13 Voices
07. War
08. God Save Us All (Death To POP)
09. The Fall And The Rise
10. Twisted By Design
Amazing! I hope they still play in full the album!

Here's a Google Translated interview with Deryck for the Russian radio station.
https://translate.google.fi/translate?s ... edit-text=
Nothing completely new, but there's a mention that there probably will be new music in the next year or two. And Deryck tells what's the most difficult guitar riff he's written.

Re: Don't Call It A Sum-Back World Tour 2017
What I noticed is when he says that he basically doesn't care about lyrics until the last minute and done with them just before they actually record songs... Obviously it's only exaggeration, but there's truth in it: I love 13 Voices, but honestly, the lyrics are bad, he uses the same lines as he did before and tells nothing new or interesting. Which is now especially sad, since he has been through so many things, he should have sung about so many emotion and it's just not getting out through his lyrics... I felt so much more through SBM.
I hope he will take more time to write something meaningful next time, because we know he can.

I guess it makes sense, I think they will be touring well into 2018 but I hope they won't keep us waiting too long again. On topic of lyrics, I already wonder what the next album will be about as the past two were so intense with the divorce and recovery.sumelf wrote:actually, he told that there definitely won't come new music in a year or two.TomiT14 wrote:Here's a Google Translated interview with Deryck for the Russian radio station.

So here is the full show record from Moscow https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VG0QZkQjRmw
The show was awesome, the sums were awesome, while the sound was so-so, but still it was very cool. Dave is sooooooooooo rad.
And the T'aint for Pleasure performance is one of the best shows I've ever seen

Interview for a Finnish online magazine. Nothing too special really.
