Hey everyone

It's been a while since I've posted here, but I've been checking the forum quite a lot, as well as Deryck's Instagram.

It might be a good idea to set things in motion, now that the new album is in the making. Deryck has been posting tons of cool pics and has answered a lot of questions fans asked him.

Maybe we can start a thread with all of the updates? It's quite exciting, so I remember from the pre-SBM-era.

There has been no official announcements of a new album being made, have there?

To me, it just looks like Deryck is getting on with the blog stuff.

actually no, Deryck said he is working on new stuff and also posted two riffs to instagram. but I wouldn't say that album is taking shape already, he just writes some music that may or may not be used on the new album.

Have you checked out his Instagram pics and comments?

For example: "With all the expensive recording equipment there is, this is what the majority of the new sum 41 record is sitting on."

In all honesty, I think we mock Sum 41 too often for using the word "soon". Let's remember, there is A LOT of work that goes into making and releasing a new album. Not just the writing and recording process, but even having a label to release it and the artwork for the album, etc.

Exactly. That's why using the word "soon" doesn't fit.
