XP was good too yeah, I like the look of Vista more though. I have only used 7 at uni and we only have a couple windows computers there so I haven't used it much, I don't like the look as much.
I would die if my computer only had 4GB of RAM. Plus, Tue amount of RAM isn't the important thing. It's the speed of RAM that's important and that's why I always overclock mine.
That's odd, anything too much over 4gb ddr3 ram seems to be pretty much be overkill/unnecessary atm...well for games. I mean my oldish PC can run new games near full fine with what I have, maybe you do more other stuff than gaming that utilises the ram? Otherwise I couldn't see the point.

How much do you have?

Mine's at 1600 sans OCing. I think the memory in my PC equated to about £700? For 12 gig Tripple Channel DDR3 :/

I'm hopefully getting a laptop with 4GB ram 500GB HD 2.4GHz i3 processor w/ 512 MB dedicated graphics. What would be your estimate to the best game(s) I could run on it? Keep in mind my current laptop (about half the specs of this one) can run MW2.

Can somebody please explain to me why this laptop is only £450???
http://www.saveonlaptops.co.uk/Acer_Asp ... 05709.html

Maybe it burns out easily or something... but from the look of it, that's the best deal I've ever seen on a computer.

Because there is a big virus installed on it from the very beginning and it will take you some time to remove it

I personally wouldn't touch a core i3. Would be like having a celeron processor 10 years ago.

In all seriousness, why? I mean an i3 dual core isn't that bad, and 3D for that price?

In all seriousness... I just want to know why you think this laptop is £450, when it's clearly worth more. I though the HP Pavilion DV6-3120sa for £480 was a good deal but this is something else. There must be something wrong with that model.
