Top five huh? I can think of three clear ones then it's getting tough. Anyway, in no particular order:

Alkaline Trio - Goodbye Forever (not really my favourite but the video is so cheap and awesome)
Rise Against - Generation Lost (so hard to choose, could have been anything up to Appeal To Reason)
Dropkick Murphys - The Green Fields Of France (a cover, but a hell of a cover)
The Gaslight Anthem - Drive
Blink-182 - Lemmings
The Blink song is there solely for nostalgia reasons.

well, I know all the bands above and I would definitely post some of them, but as you said, you wanna upgrade your musical taste, so I'll post some awesome bands that haven't been posted yet

Three Days Grace - Riot (Amazing Chorus)
Breaking Benjamin - Dear Agony (Very emotional song about the singer's lung disease)
The Pink Floyd - When The Tigers Broke Free (Amazing WW lyrics, I can always feel this song, especially the end part)
Joy Division - Closer (This song is heart touching)
Rage Against The Machine - Freedom (Just one word, Freedom! his screaming at the end of the song is amazing)
