I’ve really been getting into 80’s punk lately. I love Bad Brains, Black Flag, MDC, and Minor Threat. I found out Subhumans and MDC are coming next month and I need to go.

Have any of you guys ever heard about Death? They were one of the first punk bands and still only a few people know them, probably because of their name (1. the world's most famous death metal bands is also called Death 2. their label didn't like their name but the guys still kept it so their label didn't release their album in 1975).

Oh, and the members are Afro-Americans and they started out as an R&B trio. Here's their only album:

well it is an old album with the content consisting of old songs that are new for us, cause we haven't heard them yet :) I really love the album, it's amazing !

It's really interesting that this music was lost for so many years ! and cool that they told he guy from the label to go fuck himself and never changed their name ! :)

Shame on you guys! You've forgot to mention Dead Kennedys, Misfits and Descendents! =)

I love this kind of music, it's something I really enjoy listening to. I sure hope I still like this when I turn 40! My favorite old school punk band is definately Ramones, but the Clash is a close second. I've still got to check out a few bands, like Bad Brains, Circle Jerks, Adolescents etc.

Oh, and by the way
